Overview:
Stroke Support Station (S3) is a ground initiative started by volunteers to support stroke survivors and caregivers in their stroke journey. S3 programs are supported by medical professionals and therapists from various acute and community hospitals in Singapore.

Stroke Support Station aims to be the primary reference organization for stroke survivors, their caregivers, volunteers, professionals, and the public by providing innovative programs, support services, education, and training.
Our Mission
Stroke Support Station helps stroke survivors to Relearn and Enjoy Active Living (R.E.A.L.) for a better quality of life through wellness programs with social-emotional support that rebuilds confidence and independence. S3 fosters mental resilience in stroke survivors and their caregivers, resulting in social connectedness among stroke survivors, caregivers, family members, and volunteers.
What You'll Do:
Outreach & Volunteer Management:
Conduct community outreach and needs assessments to seniors in S3's designated service boundary within Boon Lay.
Provide regular befriending services to vulnerable seniors including monitoring their wellbeing and connecting them to care services when necessary.
Recruit wellness members by working with external stakeholders to identify stroke survivors.
Contribute to volunteer role design, recruitment, training, deployment, engagement, and appreciation.
Programme Planning & Management:
Plan and manage Wellness Programmes for S3 stroke survivors and active aging programs for seniors.
Manage administrative tasks and logistics associated with program implementation.
Collaborate with community partners such as PA, NUHS, GP clinics, etc. to organize activities such as roadshows, talks, Wellness workshops, and excursions.
Administration:
Generation of reports and maintenance of members/ seniors' database.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in social science or relevant discipline.
- Preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position in a community setting or healthcare industry.
- Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Able to work independently as well as in a team.
- Excellent project management and events coordination skills.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite.
