SINGAPORE BUDDHIST WELFARE SERVICES (SBWS)
At 105 Punggol Road, Singapore 546636, SBWS is a Voluntary Welfare Organization and Institution of a Public Character.
SBWS was registered with the Registry of Societies on 27 May 1981 and with the Charities Branch on 8 May 1991. SBWS is a full member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), as well as works closely with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Ministry of Health (MOH), Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), and Singapore Corporation of Rehabilitative Enterprises (SCORE).
What You'll Do:
Involvement in the care team assessment of clients in maintenance day care, dementia daycare, and community rehabilitative programs.
Develop and implement care plans with other care team members for clients and caregivers.
Assess the client’s physical mobility and fall risk.
Provide appropriate physiotherapy interventions based on an assessment of clients.
Conduct functional mobility, training, including the prescription and use of appropriate mobility and/or walking aids.
Plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group physical activity and exercise programs.
Conduct and/or supervise group therapy and exercises for the clients.
Conduct education and training for client’s caregivers; provide support as required.
Conduct in-service training or/sessions for care staff and volunteers.
Maintain documentation of clients’ progress and outcomes of care provision.
Recommend new strategies to the Manager (FHGCC).
Job Requirements:
- Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy.
- Obtained full registration with the Allied Health Professional Council in Singapore.
- Good written and spoken English.
- The ability to converse in Mandarin and major dialects is an advantage (to conduct education and training for Mandarin and dialect-speaking client’s caregivers and provide support as required.).
- A mature individual and a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate in serving the needy and vulnerable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – MS Word and Excel.
