Overview:

Established in December 1958, St. John's Home for Elderly Persons is a Sheltered Home for elderly persons who are ambulant and aged above 60.

Our Mission is to provide shelter and care to meet the physical and spiritual needs of elderly persons who have no home and no children or close relatives with adequate resources to care for them.

The Home is open to all regardless of race or creed.

What You'll Do:

Assist in managing the residents of the Home in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, rules, and guidelines.

Report to the Operation Executive (OE) on operation matters and Senior Staff Nurse (SSN) on nursing matters.

Ensure prompt and quality service delivery to our residents in our Home.

Provide care for elderly residents.

Cleaning of rooms, kitchen, and toilets.

Assist residents in their daily needs including bathing, changing diapers, preparing, serving, and feeding meals.

Attend to visitors. (Security screening).

Doing laundry and ironing for residents.

Assist in moving residents on wheelchairs.

Clean-up after mealtime and washing of dishes.

Prepare food and drinks for Sunday Church Services.

Kitchen floor washing every evening.

A spot check of premises in the afternoon.

Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Head of Operations (HOO).

Job Requirements:

Minimum Primary education and above with equivalent experience of at least 2 years.
ISC Healthcare (Home Care) Certificate preferred.
Good attitude and patience to work with elderly persons.
Shift duties and one rest day per week.
