Overview:

In 1913, Dr. Charlotte Ferguson-Davie, wife of the first Bishop of Singapore, had a mission: to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of those most neglected in society – women and children. A humble dispensary was set up at Bencoolen Street for this purpose. This marked the start of a long and illustrious journey of the St. Andrew’s Medical Mission. The humble dispensary grew into the full-fledged St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital in 1923.

St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital (SAMH) was incorporated under an Act of Parliament: The St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital Ordinance in 1934. The Ordinance states the objects of SAMH, the composition of the membership and the Board of Management, as well as the conduct of the General Meetings of the Corporation.

What You'll Do:

Porter clients (between drop-off point and center, to and fro the gym for rehabilitation sessions).
Help clients settle down upon arrival at the center.
See the dietary needs of clients by serving them meals and supervising their consumption.
Supervise and/or assist clients in various activities.
Assist clients who require minimal supervision during toileting.
Assist clients in settling down for a nap after lunch.
Assist in the mobility of clients.
Porter clients to and from Rehabilitation sessions.
Conduct group programs and activities for the clients under the supervision of the therapists.
Participate in in-service training programs designed and catered to upgrade the staff.
Be familiar with the fire evacuation route of the centre and safe management measures of the centre.
Maintain good housekeeping.
Carry out other duties as assigned from time to time.

Working Hours:

42.5 hours per week/ 8.5 hours per day (Monday to Friday)

Job Requirements:

Minimum Secondary Education with a Certificate in Healthcare Support
Candidates with no relevant experience will also be considered.
